Cheerleaders are grouped by grade in to squads of 6 to 12 girls. The squads are aligned by grade with football teams in the ASA football program. The squads cheer for the specified teams during the regular football season which typically runs late August through Mid-November.

The recreational cheer season is completed with an end of season cheer competition called Cheer-Off. During the Cheer-Off squads compete against other squads in their grade/division for awards.

Other special events offered to the cheerleaders to participate in include: Pre-season Cheer Camp and the Pre-season football Jamboree.  

No experience is necessary to register for recreational cheerleading.
